A dozen members of the Cardinals baseball team decided to do the Polar Plunge in support of the Special Olympics. Great job Cards! Who is that in the penguin outfit?
Baseball returned to SUNY Plattsburgh as a varsity sport in 2002 after a 26-year hiatus. We have made the postseason eight of the nine seasons that we have been eligible, and produced 34 all-SUNYAC, 16 all-region, 2 All-America and 1 Academic All-America citations since the program's resurrection. The Cardinals play their home games at spacious Chip Cummings Field, one of the Northeast's finest facilities that has permanent seating, a pressbox, upgraded an inning-by-inning scoreboard and installed a state-of-the-art sound system in 2010. We have won 68 percent (67-31) of our home games there. We hope that you will enjoy this blog and come back to visit often.
