Pitchers Expectations

We are in the process of finalizing the practice schedule for the fall and our new pitchers will get introduced to the Cardinal way.

We expect our pitchers to throw complete games. I do not believe in pitch counts, for pitch count sakes. Today's pitchers have become 'soft'. We do not have major league pitchers that are competing for 162 games over a six-month span.

Our pitchers need to be trained physically and mentally to finish what they start. That begins with our first practice.

If you look at the Texas Rangers and how they have become a much better organization over the past few years - you don't have to look any further than Nolan Ryan and the philosophy that he demanded on the organization.

Back to work!

School has started and the Cardinal baseball team will get back to work later this week. There are a lot of question marks after last year's disappointing 18-19 season. Stay tuned as we find out what players are ready to leave their marks on Cardinal baseball.
