Two former Plattsburgh State standouts, Zack Welch and Billy Davis, spent their summers in Independent Baseball leagues.
Zack batted .310 with 23 RBI and 13 stolen bases for the Alpine Cowboys of the Pecos League.
Billy completed his first season as the pitching coach for the New York Federals in the Can-Am League. Billy appeared on the active roster on a couple of occasions making one appearance late in the season.
