Welch re-signs with Alpine Cowboys

Former SUNY Plattsburgh standout Zack Welch has re-signed with the Alpine Cowboys of the Pecos League. Welch batted .310 with 23 RBI last season with Alpine. In 2010 he played for the Big Bend Cowboys of the Continental Baseball League and Shreveport-Bossier of the American Association. In 2009, Zack made his professional debut with Texarkana of the CBL.
